Edmark International being a company, who deals with business of relationships, builds not only good camaraderie among distributors but also within the management and staff themselves. And as part of the Easter Festivities, the Management and staff of Edmark Ghana discussed and planned on having an activity that will uplift and stir brotherhood spirit within, and so we decided to embark on a beach trip. The destination was the very adorable and beautiful Bojo Beach Resort situated near the Central part of Ghana. The day was an occasion for the staff to take a break from their busy schedules to relax and have some fun.

After the month-long anniversary activities, busy schedules, and not to mention Ondoy and Pepeng, finally, the TTG and the Officers, together with the other Staff of the Edmark Group of Companies found time to have fun and bond together last October 10, 2009 at the Robinson’s Galleria’s Bowling Lane.

Right after office hours, the group went immediately to the venue. We were divided into six teams – Yellow, Green, Red, Blue, Black and White, who all rocked the bowling lane. We really had the loudest and craziest cheers!

You know, the child-like attitude in everyone would never disappear. For your info, we’re not at all professional bowling players. It didn’t matter if we missed some or we hit all pins. What’s important was that we had fun! Mr. Joey Urquia, Ms. Vilma Soldao,  Ms. Nilda Dela Fuente, Ms. Joy Flojo and Mr. Jimmy Dinio were among the top scorers but it was Don Jose Vargas of the Green Team who garnered the highest score.

After 3 sets of game, Yellow Team won! I was wondering though if our dear President, who belonged to Yellow Team has his lucky charm. His team always wins and even his teammate, Ms. Nora P. was in her best form that afternoon. Was it because his ability was contagious or his teammates were challenged to meet up with his skill? Well, I still have to know the answer. After the game, we all headed to the food court for a well-deserved dinner. Through this gathering, I could say that our bond was strengthened once again.

It was Friday night when our Int’l. Managing Director Mr. Marcus Ngoh asked about the holiday on Monday and it came an idea of “ why not go out for a trip? ” Everybody got more excited when we started mentioning beautiful spots in Ghana. But to get more ideas about this spots we had a short meeting last Saturday night with all the staff, right after celebrating Ms. Sol’s Birthday.

Then, Mr. Marcus asked local staff if anyone of them had been to Kakum Forest? but only few of them knows, that’s why after a wild descriptions of that Forest we all decided to have these itineraries; Kakum Forest, The El Mina Castle and the Cape Coast Castle.

First time here in Ghana were ACCRA and KUMASI staff joined together for this wonderful, unforgettable and exciting experience. September 20, 2009 – Saturday at 8:00am, start of the trip, head count and then a prayer for our safe travel followed by the dance energizer, dancing and balancing ourselves while the bus is rolling it isn’t easy but it made us enjoy the moment because the by standers are also dancing while watching us. Double the fun since this day is a Salad Day “Edr fitr” for our Muslim Brothers.

For an ice breaker, we introduced ourselves one by one and mentioned about our marital status and availability, interesting!! After the knowing me knowing you is the relaxing movie watching.

After 2 ½ hours traveling from Accra, now were here at Kakum National Forest.

As we walk going up to the hanging bridge, you will see a different size of humongous tree roots, branches hanging and the unique kind of trees and plants but only few minutes to reach the main attraction and thrilling part, the 40 meters below the ground which is the six bridge canopy walk were several bridges are link together to the forest tallest trees and when you are at the top you will see spectacular views!! But beware to fall because the Jaguar & Elephants are under the bridge. What can we say? We survive the canopy walk and took away the fear of heights…

After the thrill, fear, shaken, excitement and adrenaline rush we next move to El Mina Castle title=”SDC10726″ src=”http://edmarker.com/myblog/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/SDC10726.JPG” alt=”SDC10726″ width=”434″ height=”326″ />

Next stop to is to Cape Coast Castle where unfortunately we reached there at 6:00pm and they are closed that time, but Edmarkers will not stop from there so everybody went to the back of the Castle and have a site seeing and to the max picture taking while we are on the top of the big rock standing as the strong waves keeps splashing and smashing on the rock and the scenery is so wonderful it was cold then and sunset wow!! it’s so lovely.

These trip was really meaningful for our camaraderie develop more as we walk like one big family together with Mr. Marcus Ngoh who stand as our eldest brother, Mr. Yap who stand as our Photographer, Mr. Hajj Awal our great tour guide and to Ms. Lynden Valdez act like our big sister. We all enjoyed it.
